Eli KhouryEli is a strategic communications specialist and pioneer of practices acknowledged to have raised the standard of communications in the region.
He is the founder, chairman and CEO of Quantum Holding and its subsidiaries as well as the CEO of M&C Saatchi MENA.
A liberal democrat and avid participatory citizen of Lebanon, he was among the key promoters of the 2005 Cedar Revolution.
Eli also publishes Beirut’s influential web portal NOW and is a co-founder of the Lebanon Renaissance Foundation.
Chief Operating Officer
Adel Kanaan As chief operating officer, Adel handles the agency’s accounts and runs its operations across the region.
As a seasoned advertising veteran with over 25 years of management and marketing experience, Adel is known for his strong command of strategic planning and brand development. An agency man through and through, he has worked at McCann Erickson, JWT and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Before settling down in Beirut in 2004, he lived and worked in most major capitals across Middle East and North Africa. As a result, Adel holds invaluable insight into different populations and is considered an expert on the region and its varying sensitivities.
Adel holds an MBA in marketing from the European University in Brussels, Belgium.
Executive Creative Director
Samer YounesSamer became M&C Saatchi MENA’s regional creative director in 2008. He is involved in all new business plans and oversees the entire agency’s accounts across the region.
Samer began as a junior writer at Y&R. He joined the team in 1999 and never looked back, swiftly moved up the ranks as a writer and then an associate creative director. In 2003, he was appointed the Beirut office’s creative director, critically involved in the agency’s entire portfolio across all sectors including telecommunications, retail, corporate, banking and humanitarian.
Over the years he has generated copious award-winning advertisements, garnering local, regional and international acclaim.
Samer holds a master’s of advanced studies in advertising from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts in Beirut.
He cites books, films and football among his interests and also enjoys playing the drums, albeit at questionable hours that are not necessarily to his neighbors’ pleasure.
Group Managing Director
After acquiring his Masters in Management from Paris IX Dauphine, Alain started his career in 1996 as Copywriter at Impact BBDO, ending up co-heading the creative department. He moved in 2004 to Horizon FCB where his last positions included managing the Beirut office, as well as regional Chief Creative Officer, sitting on the Global Creative Council.
With international expertise spanning from FMCG to automotive, tourism, banking and telecom, Alain believes in talents and in building true partnership with clients, providing them with integrated communication solutions that create fame.
Group Creative Director
Dan KhoueiryAs the creative director of M&C Saatchi as well as the executive creative director of Quantum Group, Dan develops and directs national and global commercials.
He joined the agency in 1995 as an associate art director. His innovative thinking and eye for targeted, result-driven, visual communications have propelled his career. Now with 15 years under his belt, Dan has led his team to numerous national and international awards. His talent and drive have garnered personal recognition as well, earning him a prestigious International Advertising Association award.
Dan holds a combined MA in advertising and graphic design from the Université Saint-Esprit De Kaslik in Lebanon.
He is passionate about his fields of study and equally riveted by art direction and photography.
Regional Business Director
Amal ChammasAmal is the regional business director, where her expertise is particularly focused on the telecommunications sector. Over the past five years, she has deftly guided clients through re-branding, launching corporate campaigns as well as initiating new products and services.
Amal joined the agency in 1995 and has years of regional experience under her belt. Her invaluable insights into the cultural nuances, behaviors and trends of different regional populations throughout the Middle East and North Africa enable her to play a significant role in building brands across numerous markets
Amal holds a BA in advertising and marketing. Before building her career in advertising, she dabbled in interior design and obtained a diploma in fashion design.
In her spare time, she loves to hang out with her three daughters or indulge in American television series with large bowls of popcorn.
Client Services Director
Shermine HraouiShermine has been M&C Saatchi MENA’s client service director since 2010. Her responsibilities include the growth and development of account handlers, organizational and operational matters, as well as new client acquisitions.
Shermine launched her career as an account executive with the agency in 1999. She has since grown with M&C Saatchi, managing a broad portfolio of local, regional and international accounts across various sectors including insurance, media, governmental humanitarian institutions, banking and retail.
Shermine graduated from the Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut with an MA in sociology, specialized in political strategic communications.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, music, film and literature.
Managing Director Doha
Johnny SadakaJohnny is the Managing Director of our Doha office, overseeing business development across the Gulf region.
Johnny launched his career at Ogilvy & Mather and then JWT. He joined M&C Saatchi MENA in 2005 with over a decade of regional experience, having cultivated a broad range of expertise throughout the Middle East and in particular Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Dubai, Egypt and Lebanon. Among his achievements within the agency, Johnny devised the historic launch of mobile provider Zain in Saudi Arabia.
Johnny holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Beirut University.
Johnny has a weakness for all things white, including the Real Madrid football team, Grey Goose vodka, Disney character Snow White and polar bears, among others.
Jimmy’s journey at Quantum Group started at BrandCentral. As a corporate identity and Arabic typography specialist, Jimmy worked on several iconic regional brands ranging from government institutions to media, tourism, and telecom.
It wasn’t long before he moved to the advertising arm of Quantum with Saatchi & Saatchi, now M&C Saatchi MENA, where he headed the digital and multimedia division and helped lead the agency into the digital age.
During this time, Jimmy contributed in the creation of several award-winning digital campaigns for various local and regional clients.
Today, Jimmy is Innovation Director at M&C Saatchi MENA, in charge of digital thinking and implementations for group companies. He is also heading the digital operations at Mercury, the specialized digital and content-driven division of the Group.
In his spare time (which he somehow manages to create), Jimmy is also an instructor in Media Studies at AUB, contributing in shaping the minds of future leaders in the industry.
